How To Fold Valentine Heart Pocket Napkins

If you missed my Valentine pink and red tablescape for kids the other day you can see it here. On the tablescape I used some really cute paper napkins and folded them into Valentine heart pocket napkins. I used the Valentine heart paper napkin pockets to hold forks at each place setting.

Something so simple as a paper napkin once folded into a fun way can make a nice splash on the table. It’s the little details on a table that can make your guests feel special.

Don’t you agree?

How To Fold Paper Napkin Into Valentine Heart Pocket Napkins

Step 1. Start with your paper napkin in a square (most likely it comes like this)

Step 2. Unfold the napkin once so that it is a rectangle

Step 3. Now fold the napkin in half lengthwise so that it is a long skinny rectangle

Step 4. Fold one side up so that the it aligns with the center of the napkin.

5. Do the same thing with the other side. You now will see the point at the bottom of the napkin which becomes the bottom of the heart.

6. Now flip your napkin over. Fold the top right two corners into a point.

7. Fold the other corner the same way. Make sure to press all your folds tightly.

You now have some Valentine heart pocket napkins!

8. Placing the fork into the Valentine paper napkin pocket.

Your fork will now slide in easily and keeps the napkin in place until your guests are ready to eat.

I love to fold napkins in fun ways! I made some polka dotted fabric napkins for Easter and folded them into a flower that you can see here. For Christmas I folded red napkins into trees.

Valentine heart shaped napkin pockets

The paper napkin is a little wobbly until you place it on the table where you want it. Crease your folds as tight as possible so that the shape stays in place.

These cute little pockets just add that extra detail that will make your guests feel special. I know my grandkids will love this.

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!
