DIY on how to make an easy adorable wooly yarn pumpkin with no knitting!
I am so excited to share my Easy To Make Adorable Yarn Pumpkins with you!
They turned out so cute and were so easy to make that even your kids could make these cute fluffy pumpkins.
You can find all kinds of yarn pumpkins on Pinterest but I wanted to create something a little unique.
Don’t get me wrong I like the cute string pumpkins made with glue but I wanted a thicker, wooly looking pumpkin.
My sister, niece and daughter brain stormed and came up with this DIY tutorial for you.
Supplies needed-
Dollar tree pumpkins
fluffy yarn
faux yellow pom poms
glue gun
twine
faux green leaves
a stick from your yard for the stem.
If you love making fall pumpkins crafts you will love this easy to paint black and white buffalo checked pumpkin tutorial that I did.
It literally will take you 15 minutes to make and they really look so cute!
Don’t you love it when the supplies are super simple?
Yeah me too!
Start by taking off the little faux stems.
The stems were connected to the pumpkins with a toothpick!
We just popped them right off.
Next add hot glue to the very top center of the pumpkin and add the yarn in a circular motion.
Continue to add more hot glue in long streams and laying the fluffy yarn row upon row.
Keeping the rows close to each other, no orange color shows through.
Here is the entire pumpkin covered with the fluffy yarn.
So cute and fluffy 🙂
The fluffiness reminds me of this super fluffy Anthropologie knock off wreath I made awhile ago for Christmas.
“It’s so fluffy I could die” haha

To add dimension we added twine!
We wanted the little sections to kind of pop out so we wound the twine up and over all around to create sections.
On the rust colored pumpkin we had to wrap it around twice to make it stand out.
I love that rust yarn because it is super fluffy!
Simply cutting a little branch from our yard and sticking it down into the middle of the pumpkin we created a stem.
The stem is about 2″ long and the foam pumpkin holds the stem perfectly in place.
You can add a little decor if desired.
We added some faux green leaves and yellow pom poms with a little hot glue.
Display these easy to make adorable yarn pumpkins in a basket or on a shelf or anywhere you want a little fall look.
This year I think I will add these adorable yarn pumpkins to my pretty fall mantle where I used silver pumpkins.
I think they would look so cute there.
Have you seen my recycled Hydrangea and Pumpkin wreath that I recently made?
This wreath has been recycled many times…It is 15 years old but because I change things up each year it looks brand new!
I love all things pumpkin!

So cute and so easy, I love it! I especially love the styling of the white one. It reminds me of a lemon tree…I think it’s the shape of the leaves and the fun yellow pom poms, I just love it. It kind of mixes all the seasons which is my favorite 🤗
How cute! Adding the leaves is a real cute touch. Happy to hop with you!
