Make some some pumpkin napkin rings the easy way!. I have created some cute napkin rings for our Thanksgiving table this year. We are planning on 20 people this year so I wanted to have some cute napkin rings on the tablescape. I found some Thanksgiving paper plates, napkins and copper plastic flatware. Not wanting to spend a fortune on napkin rings I figured out an easy way to make some!
20 mini grapevine wreaths
2 Picks of 20 mini velvet pumpkins
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Twine (optional)
Napkin rings can be really pricey and these were so inexpensive to make. They can be used all through the fall months.
Simply pull mini velvet pumpkins off the picks. They are made of foam and covered with velvet. They pop off easily off the pick. Set them aside.
I tried to cut a slit in the pumpkin to have an opening to attach to the grapevine. I thought I could attach it easier to the grapevine. That didn’t work out. So I played around with where to attach the pumpkins.
I added hot glue to the bottoms of each pumpkin and placed them on an angle so that the pumpkin would show up when a napkin is pulled through. If I put the pumpkin on the top of the grapevine wreath you couldn’t see the pumpkin when the napkin is pulled through.
These cute little easy pumpkin napkin rings turned out great!
To cover the plastic stems of the pumpkins I used twine. Adding a drop of hot glue and wrapping twine around the stems and adding another drop of hot glue to secure it. This made the pumpkins look more high end. Since I am making 20 of them I decided not to take the time to cover all of them.
Feel free to make your pumpkins look better by adding the twine. I think they look cute with or without the twine. They are going to look so good with the paper plates and copper plastic flatware I found.
