Outdoor Fall Tablescape in the backyard

I showed you all a simple outdoor Fall tablescape using apples that I did on my backyard patio awhile ago. Now
I want to show you how I created an outdoor fall tablescape in the backyard with and just a few changes you can have a completely different look!

Centerpiece for your outdoor fall tablescape in the backyard

I wanted to add little more color so I used the apples from the other tablescape and placed them into the large glass hurricane. It looks like an apple orchard in a vase to me. I love creating outdoor fall Tablescapes in my backyard because it feels cozy and romantic.

For more texture I added in a few dried corn cobs in the glass hurricane vases. Then I layered more faux fall leaves and the paper pinwheels.

Place Setting Floral bouquets

At each placesetting instead of using the mason jars to drink out of I used the mason jars filled with fresh herbs and flowers from my backyard. I think it can make your guests feel special.

Layering Plates

Again I used dark brown placemats that make the square white plates pop off the table but this time I also used a dark green dinner plate underneath the white plates. Topping off the layered plates I used my favorite leaf plates to bring in the fall color. I created unique Thanksgiving Tablescape using old book pages that you will also love!

Amber colored goblets

Amber colored goblets add a beautiful sparkle to the table. I used my amber bubble glass goblets in this Thanksgiving Tablescape as well as this Navy and gold summer tablescape. These goblets are so versatile!

Outdoor Fall Tablescape Napkins

For this tablescape, I placed the napkins underneath the square white plate instead of rolling them up.  In the other tablescape I rolled them up and placed an apple with a spring of thyme. I like both ways of using the napkin.

What are you doing to get ready for fall? Are you planning any fun outdoor dinners?

Make your own cake stand

This is one of my new creations! I found the gold candlestick at a thrift store and topped it off with a white quiche dish to make a footed cake plate. I used E6000 glue to attach the dish to the candlestick and it holds together perfectly! I made another cute cake stand using a wooden candle stick here and no glue!  I left the candlestick all old and crusty looking with old wax drips on it too!

Add in some candles to add a little romance and a flicker of light once the sun goes down.

Tip- Use what you have growing in your yard to make mini bouquets for your guests.

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!
