How to style the perfect blue spring dress for women over 50? I am here to tell you all about it! I found this magical dress on Amazon and it is only $33! And I got in one day! What? I know I was floored too! Not only is it the perfect blue spring dress for women over 50 but it also comes in lots of colors and prints. Now let me share with you how i styled it.
What makes the perfect dress for me? One that I don’t have to alter in any way. A dress that I can slip on and be ready to go and do. One that works perfectly with sneakers or heels. It also needs to travel well, looks and feels great. This is it my friends!
It is made of 100% rayon and the fabric just flows when it is on. The v-neck is not cut too low. So many dresses these days have such a low cut v-neck…it drives me crazy! Who wants to have to put on a tank top underneath the dress? I made a video that explains all the details that I love about the dress below.
The short sleeves are great because they button and are little longer than normal (to cover up my grandma arms haha). You can puff them up shorter if you like or leave them down.
The buttons all down the front create a long lean look. There is a piece of fabric inside the bust line area so that if it gaps all you see is the blue fabric not your underclothing.
A fun detail that I didn’t think I would like but I love is the ruching around the midriff area. It is elastic and very comfortable plus it helps to give the illusion that I might have a waist!
This style of dress if perfect for any age. I truly believe this dress is flattering on any height or size too. The length is long and flowy which I love. I have a friend who just bought this dress in the all over print that I am wearing here and she is petite and it looks fabulous on her.
My daughter who is in her mid 30’s also has this dress in the all over print and she wore it in Italy. Madeline even wore it as swimsuit cover up on the boat!
A dress that can be worn casual or dressed up is the best of both worlds don’t you agree? It looks great on its own and any shoe can be worn with it.
I popped on my white denim jacket and wore white sneakers and a cute straw bag with it for fun casual look.
For another look I am wearing a different white jacket. This is one I have had forever. It is cotton with a little texture in it.
This jacket has a little bit more structure to it so it is a little more dressy. Orange/red suede sandals also help to dress the outfit up a little bit more.
This is the same dress but in an all over print. To dress it up I am wearing my black double breasted jacket with it and again my red suede flats. The pop of red on my feet is just so fun isn’t it?
I would love to know what you think about this dress and if you have bought one. Leave me a comment and send me pictures so I can share more body types in the dress.

I absolutely love this pretty blue on you! I love my dresses (I don't buy them from Amazon anymore since it seems I never like them) but I have found the greatest ones thrifting. I love them with sneakers and sandals alike and it is always easy to add a layer.
