I knew I could pull this outfit together for Fashion Friday- Styling houndstooth pants using my light blue denim shirt.
Currently I am working on my quest to see how many outfits I can create using a blue denim shirt!
If you missed my other two blue shirt outfits that I styled. Here are the links- My at home casual look and last weeks Yellow mustard outfit
Houndstooth pants fashion Friday |
This week for Fashion Friday I am highlighting my Old Navy light Blue denim shirt again and Houndstooth pants!
Remember I talked about these pants a few weeks ago? Well I went and tried them on and loved them and Ka Ching…they were on sale for $25.00.
I knew I could pull this outfit together using my denim blue shirt.
Layering is such a great way to bring in color and warmth.
Normally I don’t wear crew neck sweaters because it makes me look too bulky. I have a short neck, wide shoulders and a short waist. I always try to create a longer length fit my torso.
When I added the vest it creates a nice vertical line because of the gold zipper and it totally works.
Here are few other pull over sweater outfits where I used other things to create a longer line and break up my shoulder area. Creamy white sweater with plaid pants and How to style basic black pants.
This vest is from Old Navy. I have had it for a few years but they have similar ones.
Then I added a little sparkle (Jcrew outlet) necklace…this is my favorite necklace!!
Not sure they still carry it but they always have super cute necklaces that I really like.
These pants are soooo comfortable! Here are some similar ones from Target.
They have a nice stretch to them.
My daughter had fun taking these silly pictures of me.
I really like how this outfit is casual comfortable and yet pulled together enough to go out with my hubby.
When it starts getting a little chilly I could wear these houndstooth pants with boots for a totally different look.
That is the best part of creating outfits.
Just by changing up a few things you have a new look!
I can’t wait to wear these pants with all different colored shirts, sweaters, jackets…what color do you think would be fun to wear with these pants?
What about a floral shirt?
