I have found the cutest black pleated skirt from H&M! Pleated skirts seem to be quite popular right now and I know why! Comfort, flowy, pretty and can be dressed up or worn casually.
This particular skirt has an elastic waist and it flows beautifully.
The pleated skirt lends itself to a feminine look when paired with a silky top. I seriously should have bought two of these ruffle necked blouses.
Oh wait! I did!
One is cream and the other a gorgeous navy blue.
You can see it styled here and here.
The blouse is long on me because I am short waisted. No worries just tuck it in, blousan it a little bit and add a belt.
The skirt looks so pretty with the top and then the double breasted jacket also from H&M.
To really bring in the feminine look add a kitten heeled sling back pretty shoe. I am in love with these comfortable Anne Klein shoes.
I can walk a lot in them and that is saying a lot!
Plus they are under $60!
To finish off the outfit I added a small black purse.
For a more casual look but still feminine and pretty I brought out my cheetah sweatshirt and my faux suede jacket. It is super lightweight and very comfortable.
Mine is out of stock but here is similar one and it is under $60
I wear this jacket a lot. You can see how I styled with some jeans here.
My flat pointy toed shoes with a buckle look super cute with this combo. These shoes are little more pricey but worth it and they come in lots of different colors!
I think adding this crew neck cheetah sweatshirt is such a fun way to make this outfit even more casual.
There are not a lot sizes left for this sweatshirt but I found another one you might like here.
Wearing the sweatshirt over the the ruffle collar blouse and adding a scarf if it is chilly makes for a cute outfit.
Changing up the shoes to leather sneakers also creates a very fun spunky casual look.
The 4th way to style the pleated skirt is to pop on a denim jacket! You can watch my video to see all four styled pleated skirt outfits.
Denim jackets are so perfect for sooo many outfits. Don’t you agree?
I grabbed my favorite pair of tortoise shell sunglasses and a little backpack and I am good to go pretty much anywhere!
