Hi I am Karin welcome to my Kottage It is so nice to meet you!

Here at the Kottage my amazing hubby and I always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty.

Our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with!

Entertaining and Celebrations

We have lots of family and friends coming over for Sunday dinners.

I love hosting all kinds of birthday parties, baby showers, graduation parties or my favorite, outdoor parties in our backyard.

Sometimes you may find me in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby or I am in the backyard grilling on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us.

I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table!

I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too!

Decorating on a budget

I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha.

We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 36 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors!

I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!

Travel

Recently we have been able to travel a little bit to Europe mostly to Italy and London.

While in Italy we found a 250 year old Italian palace and we bought it!! I know how crazy is that?

We are in the process of renovating it and finding secret rooms and treasures.

I have to say as beautiful as Europe is, there is just something so special about being in my own Kottage surrounded by the things we love and have created and most especially our family and friends.

So come on into my Kottage and stay awhile you will always be welcomed.

    • Hi Mary! I love that you have taken the time to read some of my posts... especially about our Italian Palazzo! We are so excited about this project! It is quite the fixer upper but it’s going to be magnificent when it’s completed! After this Corona Virus ends you’ll have to plan a trip out there to come and see it!

      We live in Utah and love living here in our lake Kottage 😁.
