Halloween is next week! Today on Karins Kottage Linky party Oc 25 I am sharing some fun Halloween food ideas and a quick and easy costume from last weeks linky party. I just love fun and creative Halloween treats and dinner ideas.

One can never have enough quick fast costume ideas can you? It seems every year we have to come up with some kind of costume for a fun family Halloween party or even a fun birthday party like this one. So I know you will love the one I am highlighting today.

Highlights from last weeks linky party

How cool are these spooky spider cookies! Hunny I’m Home is sharing these yummy peanut butter Reese’s spider cookies..

Organized Island has the best idea for a quick Halloween dinner! Using premade meatballs and crescent rolls! How cute are these mummy meatballs!

How adorable are these easy to make costumes from Must Have Mom! I am dying over the plastic fish bowl!

Here is one amazing looking Halloween cupcake from The purple pumpkin. I love the sprinkle colors and the Twix on the top!

Karins Kottage Happenings

We had our family Halloween party on Friday night and played some really fun games with our family.

We played wrap the mummy and it was so fun to watch the kids wrap up their dad and their cousin.

They were the tallest of the group so we nominated them to be mummy’s.

Then we played a new game we made up! Ghost blowing. We used styrofoam cups and drew permanent marker ghost faces on them. Then you stack them in a pyramid shape.

To play the game you have to stand a ways back and blow as hard as you can to try and blow as many of them off. It was hysterical watching everyone try to do this. Some could do it quickly and others it took 3 times haha.

You can watch the video I created from our evening. Just click on my Pinterest pin and be sure to save to your Halloween Pinterest board to keep for reference.

Then we loaded everyone up in the back of my son in laws truck to go look at all the Halloween lights in the neighborhood.

We also had everyone design their own monster face pasta for dinner. Recipe is here.

Everyone had a blast!

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!
