Peach and Navy Blue Wedding with a Hot Dog Bar!

I cant even tell you how excited I am to share my daughter’s wedding with you!

I have been waiting for the photos from our awesome photographer Madison Larsen Photography and they were worth waiting for!

Emily and Kevin were married in the Salt Lake Temple in Utah

It was a magical day full of love

So many family members and friends came to share in their special day

Emily wanted her reception to be held in a barn and we chose Wheeler Farms and it was perfect!

My cute husband made this chalkboard stand and Kevin’s mom draped it with florals

We found the big K at Hobby Lobby and the big E at Michael’s (which is cardboard that I filled with flowers) here is the Tutorial!

All along the entrance we had shepherd hooks and mason jars filled with white roses and greens that Madeline put together.

Here is the sign in table. Emily and Kevin wanted people to sign their name by their favorite scripture…such a cool idea!

Then you entered the huge barn!

We had Moon Light Utah do the lighting it looked spectacular!

Here is the hot dog bar!! Kevin’s mom did all the flowers for the wedding and they were gorgeous!

My sister and daughter Madeline did all the chalk art menus and they turned out so cute! The hot dog bar was a smash hit with everyone!

We served different kinds of toppings, watermelon on sticks and chips…so perfect for the 3rd of July!

We served a couple of different kinds of lemonade as well as bottled waters and sodas. Isn’t this lemonade stand to die for!! This is avail at Shabby Chic Sisters to rent too!

Daddy Daughter dance…always makes me tear up!

I made all the navy and white striped runners for the tables..I love how they turned out! These adorable wooden boxes are from The Shabby Chic Sisters…They made them custom for us!! Seriously if you need to rent stuff for any party call Valerie she is a dream to work with!

We created a navy and white striped photo booth at the reception and everyone loved taking their photos there! The tutorial to make it is here.

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!
