Fashion Friday- Channeling Diane Keaton

I recently watched a movie called “And So it goes” with Diane Keaton and Michael Douglas so for this

Fashion Friday I am channeling Diane Keaton.

I really liked the movie and I just loved Diane Keaton’s classic style in it.
Actually I have always loved her funky style so I am trying to channel her look with my hat 🙂 sorry my pics are a bit blurry.

Don’t you love her linen jacket?

I adore linen anything!

I have some pretty striped linen napkins that I used in this romantic outdoor dinner under the tree in our backyard.

Love this her look with the white linen jacket, dark navy linen pants and the straw hat!
So cute!!

Channeling Diane Keaton Black and White

I kind of did the opposite, white on the bottom and black on top.

White linen wide leg pants ( years ago from JCPenny’s)  black sweater over black and white striped shirt. Note that this shirt has wide stripes and I don’t normally wear wide stripes because I am short waisted.

This works because of the black cardigan sweater. Leaving the sweater open creates a vertical line going down with just a little bit of the horizontal stripes showing.

Adding the long necklace also helps create a longer line too.

At one point in the movie she wears this big full black and white polka dot skirt. I

It’s really cute and feminine but I just don’t think I could pull this off. I have a wide waist… but maybe the big black belt would create the illusion of a waist??

Here are a few other fashion posts you will enjoy.

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!
