Fashion Friday- How to style Floral Blouse with linen jacket.
Today I am sharing how I styled a light weight see-through navy floral blouse with a bright colored linen jacket. I bought it at Old Navy a few years ago. I just love how light weight and versatile it is.
Style the floral blouse
One thing about this type of blouse is that it is very see-through. I would not wear it without a tank top underneath.
Some people do wear these sheer blouses with just a bra underneath but I wouldn’t feel to comfortable with that. It reminds me of the time my grandma wore a white bra under a black sheer lacy top. You could totally see her bra and stomach!
Not a great look for a grandma haha.
This floral blouse can be dressed up with a skirt or casual with jeans and a cardigan sweater.
How to style floral blouse with the linen jacket
This is a tailored linen jacket in a chartreuse color, which is one of my favorite colors!
I bought the 3/4 sleeved jacket from Banana Republic a few years ago. This linen jacket has become a staple in my wardrobe.
The contrast of the dark navy floral and the green linen jacket is awesome. The little flecks of yellow/green in the blouse ties in with the jacket.
Here are a couple of other jacket outfits you will love- Fitted black jacket with pencil skirt and my blue jacket with a red and white skirt on my old blog.
Details of the linen jacket
I am pretty broad shoulders and sometimes I think a jacket makes me look like a fullback haha. The details of the jacket draw your attention away from my shoulders.
The front pockets with cute wooden buttons, the larger lapels also draw your eye away from my shoulders.
Tailored details on the back of the jacket also create the illusion that I have a waist #WIN
How to style floral blouse with jean jacket
It is so fun to be able to style a blouse in different ways. Just by using a denim jacket it totally changed the whole look.
I think I could style this blouse with a bright turquoise cardigan or a white jean jacket for summer.
Styling the outfit with jewelry
I didn’t want to wear a necklace because I wanted to keep it more casual but I am wearing pretty good sized blue earrings for a little “style”.
Bold colors and mixing them together are just fun! Remember this chartreuse and eggplant combo I pulled together? Or how about my orange and pink outfit? Bright and bold just make me feel happy when I am wearing them.
Just remember to be yourself and have fun with fashion!

you are so cute and so stylish. You've inspired me to look for some bright colors to add to my dull wardrobe.
Are you still doing Centerpiece Wed?
you look adorable…that's a knock-out blouse…
see ya for the party later.
You look super cute, Karin. I've only been following your blog for a couple weeks now, and so glad I found it. I just finished reading your Minute to Win It from July 2013 and I was crackin' up. I may need to post that one for future family reference. 🙂
