Creature Power Games

Cheetah Racers tag
Bass Powers
Bursting butterfly
Bug hunt
Polar bear jump
Platypus egg carry
Cheetah Racers tails – felt cheetah print in brown or black.
Cut out Cheetah Tails from felt cheetah print fabric.
Sew on fluffy part of tail using brown rovin (avail at craft stores)
Sew or glue on Velcro to the backs of tails to attach to power suits.

How to Play the game-

Have kids chase each other and try to grab a tail from one another.

Bass Powers- Gummy worm fishing
We used large knitting needles as “fishing poles” and tied yarn to it. At the end of the string we tied on a clothes pin to hold the gummy worms
Two kids at a time…tell them to put their arms behind their backs
On your mark, get set, go! They each run to a string and try to bite the worm off the clothes pin.
Hysterical!!
Bursting Butterfly Game
Rolls of toilet paper – Adult “helpers”
The helpers wrap the kids in toilet paper and once they are wrapped in their “cocoons” they get to burst out of the toilet paper.
Bug catching game
Plastic bug catchers and nets (Link below) and dollar store plastic bugs
Hide the bugs around the yard and send the kids out to find them
Polar Bear Jump
Place towels or something on the ground and have kids jump from one ice floe to the next
Platypus Egg Carry
Have kids carry hard boiled eggs from one area to their nest.
Coming up next how to make the power suits and the cute Tortuga cake!!
Sooo much fun !!!

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!
