Flirty and Fun: A Valentine Table in Pink, Red, and White

Flirty and fun is what a Valentine table in pink red and white should be. Don’t you agree? I am beyond thrilled to be part of a delightful tablescape hop hosted by the fabulous Rita at Panopoly. I can’t wait for you to check out all the amazing ideas from the talented bloggers participating in this hop – trust me, you’re in for a treat!

For this special occasion, I decided to create a Valentine table that screams flirty and fun. The color palette? Classic pink, red, and white! So, grab a cup of your favorite beverage and let me take you through the process of transforming my dining space into a Valentine’s Day haven.

Shopping My House

One of my favorite things to do is shop my own house for decor items, and this tablescape was no exception. I gathered a collection of pink, red, and white square paper plates, delicate white lacy placemats, ribbons, large pink ric rac, bright pink pom-pom trim, and more. I even added my unique touch with melted crayon hearts – you can find the tutorial here.

Creating the flirty and fun Valentine table Runner

I love coming up with new innovative ways to decorate a Valentine table. To kick things off, I laid long strips of ribbon, pom-pom trim, and ric rac down the middle of the table, creating a vibrant and eye-catching runner. Alternating the colors and textures added a playful element to the setup. You might remember this red and white polka dot Valentine tablescape that I did a few years ago for a ladies luncheon.

Charming Place Settings

The white lacy placemats were next in line, introducing a touch of femininity and romance. I arranged pink and red square paper plates at an angle, topping them with smaller white plates for that extra dash of pizzazz.

Clear glasses adorned with charming fleur-de-lis or bumblebee motifs. These were my cute moms and bring back memories of sitting at her table.

For the napkins, I used floral ones my sister found at a yard sale and tied them with leftover pom-pom trim, creating a cute and functional napkin ring.

And let’s not forget the adorable melted crayon hearts from last year, doubling as personalized place cards!

Dazzling Centerpiece

The centerpiece stole the show, featuring my white wooden 2-tier stand adorned with Valentine doo-dads. From a wooden envelope with a pink heart to a pink candle, white wooden beads, faux flowers, and other charming trinkets – it’s a whimsical display that adds character to the table.

Visit my shop to purchase my 2-tier wooden stand.

White Coffee Filter Flowers

To finish it off, I crafted white fluffy flowers out of coffee filters. They’re super easy to make in quick 5 steps.

1- Stack 7 filters on top of each other.

2- Fold in half.

3- Twist the bottom so that it creates petals.

4- Tape the twisted end or staple.

5- Fluff out all the layers so that it looks like a flower. Boom you are done!

These delicate blooms run down the center, adding a touch of elegance and completing the flirty fun vibe.

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!
