Karins Kottage Linky Party

Black and White Centerpiece Wednesday Party

After seeing some of your Halloween link ups, I decided to go with a black and white centerpiece Wednesday party theme. Halloween has always been a fun holiday for my family. I even wrote a book called Bewitching Halloween Entertaining Ideas. In it I share lots of fun decorating, food and entertaining ideas!

Centerpiece Wednesday black and white highlights

Masterpieces of my life shares this absolutely incredible Halloween “nevermore” vignette! The details are so fun! The branches with black birds, the Nevermore banner printed on old book pages, the old typewriter with the skull under glass. Edgar Allen Poe would feel right at home writing at this desk!

Now these Pumpkin cheesecake cupcakes made by Annes Entitled Life might not be black and white but they sound amazing! I seriously cannot get enough pumpkin recipes. I think I could eat something pumpkin every day in the fall!

Have you tried my Pumpkin ginger waffles yet?

OH they are so good!

Isn’t this kitchen darling? It is actually a kitchen in a camper! Yeah I know I was blown away too! Must have mom made these countertops from scratch too! This makes me think maybe I could live in a camper someday and travel around!

Okay are these cinnamon bones the cutest things going or what! She Saved shares a quick and easy way to make these using a package of Grands Cinnamon rolls. What a fun way to start Halloween with these yummy cinnamon roll bones.

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!

  • Thank for the invitation to link up. I didn't get you message until Thursday and I'm not sure how to link up. We'd love to participate I the future. Do you do this weekly?

    • Hi Michelle,
Yes I do this every week and the party starts on Tuesdays at 4pm and ends on Fridays at midnight. If you scroll to the bottom of the post there is a link that allows you to link up your post. Hope you will link up either this week or next.

  • Really great features this week. I’ve been wanting to do a E.A. Poe Nevermore tablescape - such inspiration!

  • Thank you for hosting! This is what I featured the week of 9-14 to 9-18-2020 on my blog. On Tuesday was Apple Slab Pie. Wednesday was Apple Cider Cinnamon Sugar Donuts. Thursday was Perfect Fall Apple Pie. And winding up this week Butternut Squash Ravioli in Browned Butter. Enjoy!

  • Hi Karin! Thanks so much for the party and I am so honored you featured my "nevermore" vignette. It's one of my favorite halloween decors I have done. I can't believe it's almost October already. Have a fabulous week.
