Centerpiece Wednesday Highlights

Yvonne over at Stone Gable shows us how to to mix metals in a room. This room is spectacular and you will love reading all her ideas and those ideas from some of her great friends! Make sure to spend some time over there and say Hi.

Penny’s Vintage just put together a huge beautiful end of summer floral bouquet for her back porch. Her roses and wild flowers are so pretty as is her entire yard. Centerpiece Wednesday party allows everyone to share a little piece of whatever they have been working on at home.

This is such a great post on how to host a social distancing dinner with friends. Barbara from Mantle and Table shares 10 ways to keep it safe! It really sounds like they had such a nice evening with friends. I can’t wait to have an outdoor dinner with friends again like this one.

I am seriously in love with this kitchen desk area over at The Crowned Goat! The old typewriter is so adorable! Such a cute idea to use a trophy as a vase. The white boxes and baskets just organize everything and make it look so neat and pretty.

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!

Thank you for hosting! This is what I featured the week of 8-10 to 8-14 on my blog. On Tuesday was Strawberry Rhubarb Pie. Wednesday was Double Crust Cherry Pie. Thursday was Double Crust Bluebarb Pie. And winding up this final week of Fruit Pies was my Double Crust Peach Pie. Enjoy!
