Fashion Friday- Green and black and white polka dots

More with polka dots!!
I paired my black and white polka dot skirt with a crisp white blouse and green cardigan today.
My signature skinny black belt around the sweater and blouse and some black pointy shoe flats.
The skinny black belt helps to define my thicker short waist.
I mixed two different necklaces to have it make more of a statement.
I like the two different sized pearls.
Fun Huh?!

Here is  the polka dot blouse without the sweater and a red skirt for a completely different look.
My short waist needs a little help so I belted the blouse with a skinny black belt to five the illusion of a waist haha
Simple classics like this outfit can be worn with a black jacket, white sweater or even grey.
Mixing this blouse with multitudes of bottoms in other colors…blue, denim, pink, white
t’s endless! I love making my clothes work for me instead of the other way around.

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!

  • Sorry I'm late to comment, but my RSS feed hasn't been updating properly. Anyways, I just had to stop by to say that I really love the green with the black & white polka dots. You look absolutely adorable, as usual! :)

  • Adorable!! When I used to work I would lay out outfits and take pictures of the mixes. Need to do that again with my jeans. You inspire me.

    • Stacey thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts... My daughter and I just went through her closet and photographed a bunch of outfits using just two skirts and lots of different tops, accessories and shoes.. We made 9 or so different outfits and photographed them. So easy to plan for work now!
I'm so happy to know I inspired you!
