Fashion Friday 5 casual outfits

A couple of weeks ago I went to my daughters house for about 10 days and knowing I would be living out of a suitcase I decided to pull together some Fashion Friday 5 casual outfits to share with you.

Took Photographs of outfits

I took photos before I packed so I knew what I could wear while there and I wouldn’t have to pull apart the entire suitcase each day.

5 Casual Outfits Formula

My formula was jeans, sweaters, blouses and scarves and boots. I needed to dress for warmth because it is so cold in Idaho! but I still wanted to look pulled together, comfy and cute.

I am a grandma and I need to look cute for my grandkids ya know! hehehe

In the above outfit I chose dark denim skinny jeans, blue and white gingham blouse, yellow pullover sweater and a bright colored plaid scarf plus warm snow boots with fur 🙂

I love the bold color of the scarf against the yellow sweater don’t you?

Peach, blue and grey Outfit

The next outfit consisted of peach skinny jeans, a blue polka dotted denim shirt with a grey pullover and a little sparkly necklace with comfy grey flats.

Houndstooth pant outfit

These houndstooth pants are just so cute! I paired them with a cream colored blouse layered with green vest.

Remember when I posted about these super cute houndstooth pants from Old Navy awhile back…I love them.

Quilted vests are the best thing going for me this year.  They are not heavy like a coat and I don’t get as hot in them going indoors and back out and yet they still keep me warm.

Black Vest with Light blue denim blouse

Pairing these turquoise pants with a denim blouse and layered with my quilted black vest. The pants are shorter in length so I will wear a taller black boot with them.

My black quilted vest from old navy is my go to vest almost everyday. So versatile, lightweight and yet keeps me warm.

Another one of my favorite outfits for winter is this jewel toned fashion outfit for winter.

Mixing and matching

I am using the black vest and the peach skinny jeans again here only this time, I paired it with a polka dotted cream colored blouse and the scarf that I used in the houndstooth pant outfit.

Swapping out the silver flats that I had originally with the peach pants to the brown leather boots creates a completely different look!

I love love love making my clothes work for me in multiple ways!

Mixing and matching is one of my favorite things to do. I could even do more with all these clothes. The gingham blouse with the peach pants or how about the denim polka dot blouse with the dark denim jeans and add the black vest.

I could go on and on….

Which outfit do you like best?

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!

    • Thank you Sue...I love mixing fun colors together that might not otherwise go together. I love bold bright colors and mixing them together. It just makes me happy. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment I really appreciate it.
      Enjoy your day.

  • Such cute outfits! I love them all, but I would have to say that my favorite is the one with the houndstooth pants. I really love the combination of floral and check with the yellow of the vest...very chic! :)
