Hello friends! It’s been pretty quiet around the Kottage lately, as I’ve just finished packing up all my Christmas decorations. I don’t really have any great tips on packing it all away—other than taking photos of what I packed inside each container. This helps me next year when I’m looking for that certain box of Christmas goodies. As much as I would love to organize everything into matching, labeled bins, after all these years, I’ve come to accept my mismatched storage system. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll tackle it, but for now, I make do.
Let’s take one more look at how cozy the house looked when it was all decked out for the holidays before moving on to the fun stuff—this week’s highlights!
I’m so happy you’re here to see what some of my favorite bloggers have been creating this winter. Whether you’re looking for new decorating ideas or fashion inspiration, these four posts have got you covered. Let’s dive in!
Debra from Common Ground has shared the most beautiful winter mantel, styled in soft whites and neutrals. She combines elegant touches of greenery, gorgeous gold framed mirror, and reindeer to create a cozy and serene atmosphere perfect for the winter season. If you’re looking to give your mantel a fresh, understated look for the new year, this post will give you all the inspiration you need. Head over to Common Ground to see how Debra transformed her mantel into a peaceful winter retreat.
In another stunning post from Common Ground, Debra shares her January tabletop setup using a charming quilted runner. The soft patterns of the quilt add warmth and texture to her table, Her centerpiece is just stunning with a wooden vase full of greenery, hydrangeas and pears sitting on top of a wooden base surrounded by more pears and the thing that really caught my eye was the fishing creel! Make sure you stop by her blog to see even more ideas.
Ann from Ann’s Entitled Life has put together a gorgeous winter pear and floral table centerpiece. This DIY centerpiece comes together in 15 minutes. It combines the beauty of faux white roses with the elegance of pears to create a stunning focal point for any table. Whether you’re hosting a winter gathering or simply adding a little beauty to your home, Ann’s floral arrangement will bring a touch of nature inside. Check out the full tutorial on her blog for step-by-step instructions on how to recreate this easy and elegant centerpiece.
Lastly, if you’re still in the mood for some winter fashion inspiration, An Inspired Home has rounded up the 17 best cardigans to wear with dresses this season. Whether you’re layering over a cozy knit dress for a laid-back weekend or adding warmth to a more formal look, this list has the perfect cardigan for every occasion. From long, cozy cardigans to stylish cropped options, you’ll find plenty of ideas to keep your wardrobe fresh and fashionable all winter long.
That’s all for this week! As for me, I’m slowly adjusting to the quieter pace around the Kottage after the holiday rush. But enough about that—now it’s time for you to share what you’ve been up to! I can’t wait to see what you’ve been creating. Whether it’s a winter mantel, a beautiful tablescape, a DIY project, or a fabulous outfit, show me what you’ve got!
