Hello my dear friends It’s time for Karins Kottage Linky Party! I can’t believe it is August 27th already! Where has the time gone. I swear I say that at the end of every season haha. I am looking forward to cooler temps, the changing of the leaves as it is my favorite time of year. Todays highlights have a combination of fall and summer. A pretty sea shell napkin ring tutorial, delicious fresh summer apple garden salads, 5 quick and easy ways to get you in the mood for fall and how to add fall to your kitchen. So let’s get to it.
Highlights from last weeks linky party
Masterpieces of my life shows us how to make really pretty seashell napkin rings. They are made using plastic shower curtain rings and a mixture of small sea shells. Such a great idea because if you have ever priced ready made ones they can be expensive! She has great tips in making them so easy!
Claire Justine is sharing not one or two but 6 summer apple salad recipes that look absolutely scrumptious! Everything from a warm watercress bacon apple salad to a Crunchy Summer Salad with Celery, Radish, and Apple. Don’t miss out on these recipes.
Common Ground is sharing lots of ways of how to transition your home from summer to fall. Using pillows, florals and baskets Super cute easy ideas that will make you home feel ready to fall.
Thrifting Wonderland also has some quick and easy ideas of bringing fall into the kitchen. I just love her idea of using fall colored napkins in a wire basket on the kitchen counter. I have so many napkins and why not use them as decor! The peach, yellow, green and white look so pretty all together.
Karins Kottage Happenings
We celebrated my son in law’s 39th birthday with the family. It was so much fun! We had everyone sign up to do a competition against him. We did a silly dance off, shooting the basketball, dribbling a soccer ball on one foot, running races, a cute balloon game and we even played name that tune! Peter my son in law is a rock star at everything. Everyone had a blast! I made a really fast video of the fun we had.
