Travel in Style: My Gold Peasant Top and Straw Bag in Italy

Hi friends! I’m excited to share one of my favorite outfits, my gold peasant top that I wore in Italy that was perfect for the occasion. The first place we visited was the charming beach town of Roseto degli Abruzzi. You can read all about it in my recent blog post here.

Coastal Style Gold Peasant top in Italy

The weather in Italy was perfect, and one day I chose to wear my beloved gold peasant top from Old Navy. I’ve had this top for a few years, and it’s a staple in my wardrobe.

It’s lightweight, has a cute V-neck with a tie, and the slightly puffy sleeves with elastic at the wrist can be adjusted easily. I wish they made this in more colors! If you’re interested, I found a similar one on Poshmark in size large here.

Pairing this peasant top with my favorite white cropped jeans from J.Crew with a raw edge made me feel like I was on vacation, even if I wasn’t! These jeans are versatile and perfect for any casual outing.

Accessorizing for Comfort and Style

To complete the look, I brought along my trusty jean jacket for cooler evenings. It’s the perfect layer for exploring Italy at night.

For shoes, I wore my favorite water shoes. These are supportive, comfortable, and stylish with pink braiding. I’ve had them since 2019, and they’re only $32! You can find them here.

My New Favorite Bag

My newest addition is a natural and blue striped straw bag from Target. It’s only $20, and you can purchase it here. This bucket bag was a lifesaver because I left my mini backpack on the plane with all my cash and credit cards.

Without this straw bag, I would have been in trouble! It’s beachy, stylish, and practical. It also comes in solid black, green, natural, and a fun pink and orange stripe.

Finishing Touches

I picked up blue sunglasses while in Italy because I left my other ones in the mini backpack. They are super fun to wear and add a pop of color. The natural woven earrings are some of my favorites, and I am starting to sell them for $8.00 plus shipping. Leave me a comment if you’d like a pair!

I hope you enjoyed this post and found some inspiration for a fun, casual look for traveling this summer or just staying home. Cheers to more stylish adventures!

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!
