Karins Kottage weekly highlights

Are you dying over this adorable valentine heart shaped wreath? It’s so fluffy! An organized season made this using teaddy bear yarn! Make sure you pop over to get her easy directions.

It reminds me of the fluffy white yarn wreath I made that was an Anthropology knock off.

South House designs made these cpzy cute adorable Valentine pillows using a premade pillow cover and some thick yarn. Love the X and O pillow and the Love knots! Check out her great tutorial.

I am in love with Eleanor Rose Home’s kitchen! Just so beautiful and her ideas on how to create a simple winter kitchen refresh are fabulous. Eleanor is one to follow so pop over and say hi.

Bluesky at home has some awesome tips on how to decorate with pillows. This pink sofa and fluffy pillow really caught me eye! Carol has lots of other pillow colors that you will love and great ideas. There are 11 tips you don’t want to miss.

Karins Kottage Happenings

I have Valentine’s day on my mind these days. I made some yummy pink Valentine heart shaped spritz cookies. Spritz cookies are a total favorite of mine. Usually I make them only at Christmas time in red and green but I wanted to try making them for Valentine’s day.

As a grandma I have to practice don’t I? 😉 The recipe is here

To serve this adorable cookies I decided to make some really cute DIY Valentine treat bags. I used waxed paper liners. A little sewing is involved but not much. They are worth making for your family and friends.

They just look so cute!

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!
