Karins Kottage Linky Party

Happy Centerpiece Wednesday Party Day!

Happy Centerpiece Wednesday Party Day! Wow can you believe November is here? I swear I was just posting about 4th of July tablescapes and here we are getting ready for Thanksgiving! Time flies when you are having fun!

How was everyone’s Halloween? Ours was one of the best we have ever had! We had sooo many trick or treaters in our neck of the woods. It brought back memories of what it was like when I was a kid! I was pretty surprised to see so many people out and about because of COVID but it also made me feel like all was right in the world for a moment in time.

I will post all about our amazing night soon but let me show you a picture of my Halloween tablescape! It really turned out amazing!

Centerpiece Wednesday Highlights from Last Weeks Party

Pastel Thanksgiving Tablescape

How cool is this idea to create a pastel Thanksgiving tablescape? At home with Ashley is all about using pastel colors and I am so inspired by all her ideas! My family room has a lot of turquoise blue and green in it and I am thinking I could use more of her color palette by adding in some yellow and pink!

Keto Chocolate in a mug

How about this amazing Keto Chocolate in a mug cake!! It only takes 2 minutes top to make this in the microwave! Oh Clary this is amazing! I can’t wait to try this recipe out tonight! We love chocolate here at Karins Kottage. One of my all time favorites is this flourless chocolate torte that I make probably a little too often. A friend of mine gave me the recipe that she got when she was at the Cordon Bleu cooking school in France! So you know it is good!

Sugared Cranberries Highlight

Ann’s Entitled Life shared this recipe of how to make these gorgeous sugared cranberries. Ann suggested using them as a garnish for drinks, as a garnish on a dessert or you could just eat them as a snack. I think you could use these gorgeous on top of my amazing chocolate cake recipe. It would not only look stunning but it would make the perfect Christmas dessert for sure! Add in some fresh rosemary or mint to get that red and green Christmas look!

Centerpiece Highlight

What is Centerpiece Wednesday party day without a fabulous Centerpiece Idea? Yvonne at Stone Gable never disappoints with her amazing and unique ideas! Just look at this simple but elegant idea of using pine cones with a few white antlers and just a sprinkling of snow all in a white porcelain bowl. I am thinking I could totally use this idea and add in some of my wood serving platters that I used in this Indian Tribal Baby shower! I think I could create a woodsy Christmas tablescape. What do you think?

I really hope you enjoyed this fun Centerpiece Wednesday Party Day! I did and my mind is already swirling with ideas from all of you to try!

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!
