Last week I celebrated my 60th birthday! We were lucky enough to travel to California with our daughters and their families. It was so fun! I will share more about our trip in the coming days but until then Happy Centerpiece Wednesday Linky Party July 22! I hope each of you are doing well wherever you are.

Centerpiece Wednesday Linky party July 22 highlights

I just loved how Ashley over at At Home with Ashley figured out a darling way to make an outdoor umbrella stand that is also a planter with casters! Ashley is so clever!

Naush put together a lovely elegant pastel pink birthday party last minute and these huge pink paper flowers are some of my favorites! I do love to create pink parties myself. Remember the pink mother daughter party I did here?

Don’t these Coconut Mojito ice pops look delicious? Arlene over on Flour on my face shares her recipe starting with a simply syrup and adding coconut milk, coconut water, lime juice and mint leaves. Her recipe calls for rum but since I don’t drink alcohol nor do I like the flavor of rum extract I would probably just use a little more lime juice for flavor. I can’t wait to try these!

How cool is this paper mâché decoupaged bowl that Pillar Box Blue shows how to make on her blog! Such a great tutorial and I love that she also shares how to print your own paper napkins with free images!

I didn’t know that you could make pickles without having to cook them forever! This easy refrigerator pickles is something I will be doing! Kristy at Mommy Hates cooking shares this yummy and easy recipe on her blog. Kristy used to be a blog partner with cooking light! I just need to get my cucumbers growing in my garden.

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!
