Fashion Friday- 2014 Top 5 Fashion posts

I decided to look back at some of my Fashion posts from 2014 and share a few of my favorites….mostly because I am sitting in my stretchy pants and sweat shirt right now and thinking my fashion post of the day would not be too exciting haha So lets review some of the most viewed outfits
Number one is the Mustard Yellow sweater outfit coming in just under 4000 views! I really do love this color combination mixed with the multiple necklaces that just make this outfit pop. You can view more details about Fashion Friday Mustard Yellow outfit Here
Number 2 is my Fashion Friday Flipped out! This is when I flipped my hair out and put together an orange and turquoise outfit that just says spring or summer to me!! I am wearing a turquoise striped maxi skirt with an orange tank top and white sweater and a super fun flower necklace. Read more about my Fashion Friday Flipped out Here
Next which is a personal favorite of mine is my Fashion Friday post all about scarves! All the women in my family went on a trip to Newport Beach and we were all wearing scarves it was so much fun and really showed how a scarf can dress up or just make an ordinary outfit look better. .
This next Fashion Friday post is all about being yourself love color and fashion and have fun! Read more about this denim coat, turquoise skinny jeans and my pointy yellow shoes here
Last but not least Fashion Friday Black and Gold…I really love this outfit because it is not only super comfortable but I also think it looks stylish but simple to pull together. A fun little jacket can really boost your ability to mix and match with skirts or pants. You can read more about this Black and Gold outfit here.
It has been fun to come up with new ways to make an outfit come together and look at my closet with new eyes.
I would love to know what kind of things you would like to see in 2015…

I would love to hear from you….

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!

  • What a great eye for color you have! Love the mustard sweater with necklaces- so effortless and so much more interesting than neutrals all the time (me lol)
