I was feeling a little sassy today….so I attempted to flip out my hair for a new look…what do you think? Yes those are my grey hairs all over the place….I decided to completely let it go…no more dyeing it. My mom looks beautiful with her salt and pepper so I figured heck why not…it’s a pain to keep dyeing all the time.
For my outfit I paired my turqoise (can you tell I have a thing for turquoise lately) and white striped maxi skirt layered with a white tank and over that the peach tank….I love the ruffles down the front! Then I added a 3/4 sleeve white sweater.

I seriously seriously love this necklace I bought it on Pick Your Plum last year…I hope they get more or at least something like it.
Someday when my grandkids are older they are going to look at my blog and just laugh at their crazy grandma 🙂

You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!
