In our family we love to wear scarves no matter our age! A little over a month ago my mom, sister, sister in-law and our daughters took our first girls trip to Newport Beach and we had the best time!!
This is my beautiful mother and one of my beautiful neice’s.
My mom wears lime green beautifully and the scarf is perfect!
My niece and my two daughters! All three of them are so fashionable and experts at wearing their scarves tied in fun ways.
I just love Madeline’s yellow and white polka dotted scarf! It goes with everything!

We rented some beach cruisers and took a ride on The Newport Penninsula…oh my gosh it was fabulous..riding around with the wind blowing in our hair.

Here we all are on the Balboa ferry…the wind was really blowing our hair all over the place!

We had dinner at one restaurant and dessert in another in Laguna Beach!
My youngest is the clown of our family if you couldn’t already tell 🙂 I just love this pastel scarf..it looks like a water color painting.
Maybe she is not the only clown hehehe

Karins KottageWelcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!

These are such delightful photos! It certainly looks like everyone had a terrific time! I have a ton of scarves and absolutely love wearing them. A scarf can take a plain t-shirt & jeans outfit to a whole new level!
What a beautiful, beautiful family! I made an infinity scarf for myself this fall and liked it so much I made another and gave it to my sister-in-law for Christmas.
