Fashion Friday- Tickled Pink

Pink…I love the color pink…since it is close to Valentines day I pulled out my hot pink silky tunic blouse that purchased from Old Navy. I wasn’t sure I would like the mandarin collar but once I tried it on I really liked the look.

I tied my hot pink and red scarf in what is called “the fashion knot” I found directions from one of my pins on my pinterest fashion board.

I love dark skinny jeans they just look crisp and classic. The crispness I speak of may possibly be tightness because I just washed them and they may or may not have shrunk just a tad…it most certainly is not the fact that I may or may not have recently eaten decadent chocoate desserts, French macarons, rich buttery croissants and other delightful treats while on my family girls trip to So. Cal 😉 Our girls trip made me think about the quote from the movie Eat Pray Love…where Julia Roberts says “I’m so tired of saying no, and waking up in the morning and recalling everything I ate the day before – counting every calorie I consumed so I know exactly how much self-loathing to take into the shower. I’m going for it. I have no interest in being obese, I’m just through with the guilt. So, here’s what we’re going to do: we’re going to finish this pizza, and tomorrow, we’re going to buy ourselves some bigger jeans” So…perhaps I will be out shopping tomorrow 🙂

My fav leather boots and I’m good to go for the day.
If the hubsters wants to take me out to dinner tonight I could dress up my hot pink tunic by adding a fun sparkly rhinestone necklace and a corduroy jacket and some heels but most likely we will be casual so I am all ready to go….
Of course I can’t forget my granny glasses…. otherwise how would I read a menu if we go out to dinner?
Can Anybody else relate to that? LOL
I hope y’all enjoy your weekend!
Karin 🙂

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!
