Dining Room Tid Bits with Guest Blogger Jenna Meon from The Painted Apron

Welcome to the 2nd Dining Room Tid Bits with guest Blogger

Jenna Meon

Today Jenna from the Painted Apron is sharing her Paper Parasol tablescape. I love all the colors and fun details. The little paper parasols wrapped with twine and then tied around the napkins are just so cute…I love this idea!

I just love all the colors..Pink, Orange, Blue, Yellow…. such happy colors!

This is such a great centerpiece idea…a pot of faux greens and faux hydrangeas sitting atop a large platter sprinkled with the paper parasols. Just so fun!

The fabric she found is really cute…you can bring out different colors to make it look different each time you use it. Look at the fun pattern on the placemats..it totally works!

Jenna says this about her memories about dining as a kid – Growing up we ate in the dining room often, my mother was a stickler for manners and using nice things. When my kids were little we always had Sunday dinner at the table even if it was hamburgers, they moaned and groaned but, now that they are grown, they love the long lively dinners gathered around the family table and over the years I have become more and more devoted to tablescapes. We also host a lot of parties and love to entertain so my dining room gets a work out!
Thanks Jenna for being our guest blogger today and sharing this fun tablescape with us. Check out more of her tablescape on her blog The painted Apron

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!
