Shopping at the Jackalope store

As I mentioned in my post yesterday that I found this really cool shop in New Mexico called “Jackalope”

and it is filled with tons of mexican pottery
Tableware, glasses and beautiful linens

Cool Mexican furniture

Tons and tons of rugs!

Folk art and

beautiful silk flowersAnd tons more cool things! This part of the post is for Tablescape Thursday over at between Naps on the Porch.

I bought myself this tablecloth and matching napkins in a fun orange colored pattern. The large table cloth was only $21.oo and the napkins were $1.60 each!!
Then I couldn’t resist the orange glasses!! I think they were priced at $2.89 each…. but they were Buy one get one free!! So I could not pass them up…I only wish I would have bought more!!
I knew it would add so much to our backyard table.
Yummy grilled chicken, grilled yams and grilled asparagus!!
Oh and I did ask them if they had a website..they do….. but they don’t sell anything online. 🙁
They said they are a “touchy feely” store and they want their customers to have a shopping experience. Bummer…I want more glasses and I don’t know when I will get back that direction. I wonder if I call them if they would ship me some? 🙂

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!

  • Wow! That shopping trip looks like a blast! I have to tell you I LOVE THE ORANGE tablescape - everything from the print on the linens to the stemware! Orange is so hot and "in" right now. I love its freshness! I bet if you called me they would sell you more glasses over the phone and ship them to you! They are in the business to make money I would assume. Good luck! Everything in your post is delightful.

  • Your trip looked colorful and full of fun! I love the purchases you made and the dinner and tablescape you put together outdoors is so pretty! Love the square white plates on this colorful tablecloth with the new napkins! Very NICE! ~CC Catherine from "Catherine de th`e Cups"
