Karins Kottage Happenings
My friends I have some sad news. My sweet mom has been recently been diagnosed with Lou Gherigs disease also known as ALS. It has been a very sad and difficult few weeks as you can imagine. ALS is a very rapid fire disease and is so hard to understand. ALS has no cure and is a really horrible disease.
Even the doctors have a very hard time diagnosing it correctly. Tomorrow mom has a biopsy and we are hoping that she might have cancer that might be mimicking ALS. How strange is it to be hoping for cancer but cancer has a chance to be cured.
We are still learning as much as we can about ALS. I would love to hear from any of you that know of someone who has had an ALS reversal. Leave me a comment.

Karin, im.sorry to hear of your mom’s diagnosis of ALS. I don’t know of anyone with a reversal effect, and I will certainly pray for your mom and for your family to learn and understand and find as much help as you can for her. XO

Sending prayers for your mom! It does sound weird but I’m hopeful she has cancer too (when you put it that way!).

Oh Karin, I am so sorry to hear your mom might have ALS. My brother-in-law has it, and it’s hard to watch him decline, but he has a great attitude and has fought it valiantly for 10 years which is not usual. I will be praying for your family. Thank you for hosting every week, we all appreciate it!

I’m so sorry for your loss, Karin… that was SO fast! I often ask the Lord to take Mom quickly, so she doesn’t have to live through Alzheimer’s for a long time.
