Karins Kottage Linky Party

Centerpiece Wednesday Linky party #221

Welcome to Centerpiece Wednesday Linky party #221 For this weeks highlights I have chosen some fun ideas to share with all of you! A fabulous linen closet makeover, tilapia fish tacos, a gorgeous straw bag filled with flowers for a centerpiece and a beautiful spring kitchen that I am drooling over.

Karins Kottage Happenings

I am in Italy! It took FOREVER to get here! We flew from Salt Lake to Atlanta only to circle in the sky for awhile because apparently Atlanta was experiencing a tornado!! So they re-routed us to Nashville to refuel. We sat on the ground in the airplane for almost 3 hours:( Then they flew us back to Atlanta. We avoided the tornado but we missed our flight to Rome.

Another 3 hour wait for a different flight….this time we are getting a flight to Paris, France with another layover for 4 1/2 hours. Then finally we took our last flight to Rome, rent a car to get to our hotel. It was a very very long travel day.

Highlights from last weeks Centerpiece Wednesday Linky party

Check out this gorgeous tablescape from Red Cottage Chronicles. I am in love with her centerpiece idea. A large straw basket filled with flowers. This is actually her Easter tablescape but how perfect for Mother’s Day or a fun spring dinner party.

The house of Silverado is sharing her kitchen that is all ready for spring! I love her kitchen and the lighting and all the details

This linen closet makeover turned out so amazing! Faith and Farmhouse used her Cricut machine to make the cute tags.

Fish tacos are seriously my favorite meal and these tilapia fish tacos sound so good! Organized kitchen shared her fresh ingredient for a salsa that makes the tacos even better.

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!

  • Oh Karin, what a stressful trip! I know it was worth it because you have been looking forward to getting there for so long, have a fabulous time, can't wait to hear more! Thanks for hosting while you're traveling!

  • I hope everyone gets a chance to check out the recipes I shared this week. Thanks so much for hosting this link-up party!

  • Love the pix of you and your hubby in Rome! Sorry for your travel odyssey, sounds like our unfortunate 48 hours of travel to get home form our Galapagos Island cruise.

On an unrelated front, I'm concerned you didn't receive the invites to the St Paddy Day and next week's Bee-utiful Table Settings blog hops as I didn't receive a response to other. Perhaps went into your spam folder? Would have come from buzz@debbeesbuzz.com. Figured I could reach you via comments on your blog. Hoping you can join in on a future theme hop. Enjoy Italy!

  • I hope you have a lovely time in Italy, now that you've survived the travel woes. :-)
Thank you for featuring my spring kitchen!
