Can I just tell you how much I love white slipcovers? I have always wanted white slipcovers and I bought an Ikea sofa and 2 chairs with the slipcovers and I love love love the fact that I can whip them off and throw them into the washing machine and they come out clean and smelling fresh!
You can’t do that with an upholstered piece of furniture.
With as many people as I have coming through my house…all the time…..including lots of family..many teenagers, little grandkids, friends, neighbors, lots of youth from church..these slipcovers handle it perfectly! I even bought 2 of the white slipcovers for the sofa because they were so cheap…$89.00!!
The picture below is of my sofa that has the darling pillow with the no. 3 on it…my sister made it for me (it represents how many grandkids we have).
The rug is from pier one and I just love the bright bold color and pattern,
it just says fun 🙂
How many of you use slipcovers and what colors or patterns do you have?
Karin 🙂

Karins KottageWelcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!

I love white slipcovers also and make lots of them for clients. Haven't had a dissappointment yet!
I am on the hunt for a slipcovered couch right now! Thanks for the confirmation!
I think white is very elegant but I have three kids and if I put any thing white any place, including jeans, they never stay white long.
I had red plaid couches in my living room for year and loved them. Then I got the white slipcover bug and I am in LOVE! Your rooms looks fun and fab!
I have the same couch from Ikea and the matching love seat. I wash my slipcovers whenever I feel the need, which is less than once a month. People are always amazed that I have white slipcovers with 3 messy kids! Two words: MACHINE WASHABLE. I love all your pillows!
Oh how I wish I had slipcovers! Your room looks beautiful and happy. Love the rug! (I found you from a link party. Going to be your newest follwer. :D)
I love your slipcovers, I have a couch but would love to have the two chairs in my living room slipcovered to just change the look from time to time and to the answer the question of color,...white of course...Phyllis
