Fourth of July

4th of July decorations and Picnic Basket

I decided to put together this fun 4th of July Picnic basket to hold all my
eating utensils!
What a great gift for a new bride!
Tablecloth, dishes, napkins and napkin rings, silverware, plates and basket!
Cute Cute!
Don’t you just love the cute little jean pocket silverware holders!

Here is the DIY on how to make them. When the sun starts setting and everyone is hungry you can be set with your basket of 4th of July goodies.

With very little effort your 4th of July meal will come together in a snap!
My cute friend Carrie found these adorable white plates at Wal-Mart
in the clearance aisle.

I just love them! The silverware is from Pottery Barn. I love this silverware I have used it multiple times. In this  tablescape where I used them and then in this 4th of July tablescape too.

The basket is from Ikea

Here is a centerpiece idea for your 4th of July Table.
I took a white footed bowl and turned it upside down and layered white dinner plates and white salad plates on top.
Gathered my napkins and napkin rings and placed them on top of the plates.
Sprinkled a few gold sparkly stars around and voila! Instant centerpiece.

Once again I am showing my favorite root beer bottles ringed with some of my napkin rings and a cute silver metal watering can with American Flags stuck right in the middle.

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!
