Blue and White Tablescape!

Blue and White Tablescape

I love using blue and white for a tablescape..it has a nautical feel when you add a few items from the sea.

I love this blue and white tablescape it is so simple and yet elegant.

I used my white lantern from Ikea ($10.00 a few years ago) filled with seashells.I wanted to raise up my white dishes on a pedestal. I don’t own a white one but I do own….

this white footed bowl. I simply turned it upside down and it made the

perfect pedestal!

How cool is that! I love how it looks upside down.

Multi use! I love it!

I grabbed this garden decoration thing a ma bob from out of my office shelving and plopped it next to the lantern for a fun weathered look.

I love how my white napkin rings look so beautiful against the blue and white napkins and this gorgeous star fish!

Here you can see the bottom of the lantern filled with sea shells and the base of the garden thingy.

So pretty for a centerpiece on a buffet table.

I am participating in
Tablescape Thursday!

Karins Kottage

Welcome to Karins Kottage! There is always something fun going on! You would think after becoming an empty nester couple that our nest would be very quiet and empty but our Kottage nest is usually more full than what we started out with! You might find me hosting a birthday party or graduation party and a baby shower on the same weekend or a big outdoor get together with 25 of our friends and family in the backyard or maybe I might be in the kitchen trying out a new recipe for my hubby and I to grill on the BBQ for a quiet night for the two of us. I am passionate about entertaining and setting a beautiful table! I may or may not have an addiction to cloth napkins and fun salad plates oh and goblets too! I think I will always have a home decorating DIY project in the works as long as my hubby is on board with me haha. We have painted A LOT in the 6 homes we have owned in the 35 years that we have been married as well as re-done multiple pieces of furniture, added wall and ceiling treatments, replaced lights, bathroom fixtures and even tiled floors! I have sewn what seems like a million window treatments for our home as well as for family, made slipcovers, and duvets and even a formal dress or two!

  • There's lots to grab from this tablescape. I do love it! One thing I'm going to remember is to invert a pedastal bowl for a great footed riser!

  • Wow...love that Seaside setting! I can see the Sea from our neighborhood and this would be so perfect for dining Al Fresco! I have some of those Pottery Barn Star Fish....love them..

Check out my very simple centerpeice on my dining room table..you can see it on my blog today on the Peanut butter bar recipe...right behind the bars...any ideas to Spruce it up? It is one of my grandmother's china cups/saucer, a garage sale plate, a Southern Living plate, another garage sale plate and two rectangular doilies from last weekend garage saling for 25 cents each! I was kinda proud of myself, since I lack in these skills...lol. Have a great weekend! XO Heidi

I've just ordered some of the napkin rings...I used to sell them in the shop I used to have...love the versatility of them!
