Summer eating at its best!

Summer Eating at it’s best!
I love summer time eating!
The food is so fresh and all the herbs make it so flavorful!
For my table I used my orange placemats and my black and white dishes which I love love love!
Summer time eating at it's best
My new favorite guilty pleasure is herb butter! Oh my gosh…my daughter made this the other night for us and we can’t get enough of it!
We use fresh Rosemary, Thyme, Sage, Bail from the garden all chopped up finely. Mix it up into some room temperature butter and spread it on some yummy bread or vegetables and it is fantastic!
Her Butter
Even my hubby who is not a big bread lover is addicted to this now!
My centerpiece is flowers from Costco!
I love their selections and they are pretty cheap too!
I can’t tell you how much I love black and white dishes!
For our dinner I grilled corn on the cob from the Farmers market and slathered it in the herb butter!
We also had BBQ’d chicken that we marinated in Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce, Webers Beer can seasoning, salt and pepper and it always turns out finger lickin good!
My typical spinach salad…apples, fresh raspberries and slivered almonds with Brianna poppy seed dressing! So easy and quick and always a pleaser for everyone.
Also from the Farmers Market we got some fresh green beans and sautéed them in a pan with turkey bacon, onions, a little salt and pepper with a little olive oil!
Tip- The best way to prep your green beans is to blanch them in boiling water for about 7 min. Immediately plunge them in ice water to stop them cooking and keep them bright green. You can do this ahead of time and then pan fry them when you are ready.
oooh I may make this again tonight! Hahaha

What a beautiful table. Everything looks so bright and cheery and inviting. Of course, your beautiful pictures help bring it all to life for your readers as well. It's almost as if we are sitting at the table with you. And, now I want to go make some herb butter 🙂

I don't blame you for loving the dishes. I so want some black and white ones but haven't yet found the right ones. You can't go wrong with a centerpiece that has sunflowers!

That dinner looks so delicious! Herb butter sounds so good too, I will have to try that since I have both herbs growing in the garden. Thanks for the idea! Your table is lovely, beautiful colors and of course the food makes it really striking!…Christine

Herb butters are a fav for me! And they make a nice hostess gift, as well. Your dinner looks scrumptious, that's for sure. Glad you invited me over to link up with you this week. 🙂 Sue

    Hi Karin,
Your table looks very nice and inviting, and your food looks scrumdilicious!
Love the sound of the herb butter, am gonna have to give that a try. I have
made cranberry butter but never herb butter, well Italian style with olive oil. lol
Fresh flowers are always a hit on any table as far as I am concerned. Your black
dinnerware is very pretty. My daughter just got black and white dishes for her
birthday and she loves them. After seeing your post think I am gonna have to head to the kitchen for a snack now. lol
