Hot Air Balloon Baby Boy Shower

This hot air ballon baby boy shower was such pleasure to do and was super easy too!

I planned a super cute Hot Air Balloon baby boy shower for my niece and nephew for their first baby last weekend and it turned out great!

The star of this baby shower were these darling hot air balloons that I made.

Decorations

The decorations were super easy to make using paper lanterns, bakers twine, scrapbook paper and mini metal white pails. I hung them from the ceiling using fishing line and push pins.

Tutorial for how to make these cute hot air balloon decorations is here.

I also strung some white balloons together using fishing line to create a “cloud” effect hanging above the hot air balloons.

Simple Brunch Food

For the simple brunch food I served mini quiches that I bought in the frozen section at the grocery store. Donut holes from the bakery.

A simple veggie tray and asparagus wrapped in puff pastry with a yummy dip. Recipe for asparagus wrapped in puff pastry and dip is here.

I always like to include a tiered tray filled with lots of colorful fruit.

Little chocolate elephants and yummy mini lemon cakes from Walmart!

It was really pretty simple with very little baking involved which is super helpful when planning a baby shower.

You don’t want to be baking and cleaning up when guests arrive.

Centerpiece

For the centerpiece on the table I bought 2 dozen white roses from Costco.

Then I found this adorable little stuffed elephant that matched the Hot Air Balloon Baby Boy shower invitations we used from Greetings Island.

My sister drew the darling elephant and congrats on my huge chalkboard to welcome our niece to the party. You may remember this chalkboard at my daughters wedding where we served hot dogs! It was soooo fun!

I also did another fun baby boy shower with an Indian tribal theme a little while ago that has some really fun food ideas.

I just found your post. How do I get your Italian recipes for this Italian Hot Air Balloon baby shower?

      Hi Sandra,
I don’t think I have any Italian recipes on that post. I did talk about wrapping asparagus with puff pastry and that recipe is here https://karinskottage.com/2021/03/how-to-make-pastry-wrapped-asparagus.html
      I hope that helps.
