I couldn’t wait for Easter this year… the minute the weather started warming up, I was ready to set an Early Outdoor Easter tablescape in our backyard and bring out all the color! I can’t wait to show you how I pulled this whole bright and colorful Easter tablescape all together.

I have been seeing so many bright, bold tablescapes on Instagram lately and decided to try something a little more playful and unexpected for our early Easter dinner.
And honestly… I am in LOVE with how it turned out.
Starting with an Easy (and Budget-Friendly) Table Base
I started with these striped plastic tablecloths in cranberry and pink, and they completely set the tone for the whole table.

They were such a great find—3 for around $10—and even though I originally thought about using fabric tablecloths, I just couldn’t justify the extra cost when these looked this good.
I love involving my family in helping to set up the table. They learn the skills and see how much effort it is to set up for a big family dinner.

The colors are vibrant, cheerful, and perfect for spring.
Layering with Colorful Floral Plates
Next, I wanted something fun and floral for my early outdoor Easter tablescape place settings, and these paper plates were exactly what I had in mind.
Plus they came overnight!
You can order yours today and have them in plenty of time for Easter.

I love being able to use my favorite purple goblets.
They are nice and heavy and hold a lot.

They are a little on the thinner side, so I layered them over my everyday white dinner plates to give them more stability—especially since we were serving grilled salmon and pork chops.

That simple layering trick made them feel a little more substantial and elevated.
Mixing Textures with Placemats and Napkins
I used my natural woven placemats as the base, which helped ground all the bright colors.

Then I mixed in cloth napkins in blues, turquoise, and pink. I folded them in thirds and tucked them underneath the plates so the colors peeked out just enough.

It added texture, color, and that layered look that always makes a table feel more styled.
Simple Fresh Flower Centerpieces
For the centerpiece, I picked up several bouquets from Trader Joe’s and created a mix of arrangements using mason jars and a taller thrifted vase.

I used a variety of flowers, but the stock flowers in white and purple made everything smell absolutely amazing.

I placed them down the center of the tables, and just like that—it felt full, fresh, and springy without being fussy.

Don’t Be Afraid to Add an Extra Table
We needed seating for 15, and our outdoor table wasn’t quite big enough, so we brought out a folding table and lined everything up.

With the matching tablecloths and flowers, it all blended together beautifully.

Honestly, it made the whole setting feel even more inviting and ready for a crowd.
What We Served for Dinner
The weather was absolutely perfect, and my amazing hubby grilled up pork loin chops and salmon steaks.

I used my favorite sweet mesquite salmon recipe (always a hit!), and we paired everything with roasted potatoes, colorful carrots, and red onion.
My sister brought a delicious green salad with strawberries and a homemade dressing that was so fresh and light.
There was lots of chatting, laughing, and just enjoying being together outside… which is really what it’s all about.
The Desserts (So Good!)
For dessert, I made my chocolate torte along with a lemon curd tart that I will be sharing tomorrow.

And let me just say… even my brother-in-law—who usually doesn’t like lemon desserts—said it was “out of this world.”

That’s when you know it’s a keeper 😊
If you’ve been wanting to try a brighter, more colorful tablescape… this is your sign.

You don’t need to spend a lot, and you definitely don’t need everything to match. Mixing patterns, colors, and textures is what makes it feel fun, relaxed, and welcoming.

And those are always my favorite kinds of gatherings.
