Easy To Make Mini Quiche Appetizers for Any Party

There’s something so fun about little bite-sized mini quiche appetizers for any party … especially when they come straight from your own oven. These mini quiche appetizers are a total crowd-pleaser for holiday parties, baby showers, brunches, or cozy family gatherings. They’re buttery, savory, and full of flavor — and they disappear SO fast!

This version has a delicious twist: crisp bacon, sautéed green pepper and green onion, and a sprinkle of fresh basil. It adds the perfect pop of color and freshness.

Ingredients

For the Crust

  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 stick butter (1/2 cup), cold and cubed
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2–3 Tbsp ice water

For the Filling

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup cream or half-and-half
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked until almost crispy
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 green onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded or crumbled cheese (Swiss, cheddar, Gruyère, goat cheese… all delicious)

How to Make Mini Quiche Appetizers

Make the Crust

  1. Combine the flour and a pinch of salt.
  2. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly.
  3. Add ice water a tablespoon at a time until the dough comes together.
  4. Wrap and chill for 20 minutes.

Prepare the Bacon + Veggies

This step adds BIG flavor!

  1. In a small skillet, cook the bacon until almost crispy.
  2. Add the chopped green pepper and sliced green onion to the skillet.
  3. Sauté together for 2–3 minutes until softened and fragrant.
  4. Set aside to cool slightly.

Shape the Crusts

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. Roll out the chilled dough and cut into small circles.
  3. Press into a mini muffin tin to form the cutest little shells.

Mix the Filling

  1. Whisk together eggs, cream/half-and-half, salt, and pepper.
  2. Stir in the cooled bacon mixture and cheese.
  3. Sprinkle the fresh basil into the egg mixture — it adds the best flavor!

Fill and Bake

  1. Pour filling into each crust 3/4 full.
  2. Bake 18–22 minutes until golden and set.
  3. Let cool a few minutes before removing.
