How To Make Cute Charcuterie Cups For Baby Shower

I have recently been learning how to make cute charcuterie cups for my niece’s baby shower. We celebrated the beautiful mom to be on Saturday in my sisters backyard. It was such a fun and pretty baby shower with lots of friends and family in attendance. It brought back memories of when we threw a baby shower for my daughter!

How to make cute charcuterie cups

These cute charcuterie cups are perfect for any bridal, baby shower or wedding reception!

So let’s get to it.

Why use charcuterie cups?

These little brown paper cups are perfect for your guests to be able to grab and hold while walking around chatting with one another. The little cups hold quite a bit of yummy goodness. You can fill them with the all kinds of delicious savory and or sweet treats. Plus aren’t they so dang cute!

How to make cute charcuterie cups

You can personalize them so easily with a sticker on the front. My sister made these for my niece Elli using Avery stickers. Tiffany used sticker #22877.

Super simple and easy to personalize to whatever function you are making them for.

How to start making the cute charcuterie cups?

First off they take a little bit of time to put these together but they are so worth it. I started the night before and skewered the salami’s on the bamboo skewers.

You want to skewer the black olive so it is at the top. You want the salami to look ruffly so here is the trick. Just fold the salami in half and then in half again.

Slide the ruffled piece onto the skewer and add two more pieces the same way.

Lay them on a cookie sheet and cover with plastic wrap. Keep refrigerated until ready to assemble.

Next cut your favorite kind of cheese into little cubes or buy them already cut up. I used Colby jack but you can use two different kinds if you like.

I skewered a blueberry and then added the cubed cheese onto a bamboo skewer and place on cookie sheet and cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to assemble cups. I would not do these more than 24 hrs ahead of time because they will dry out.

What do you put at the bottom of charcuterie cups?

You need some weight to balance the cups a bit. I used little plastic cups with lids and filled them with candy coated almonds. This not only helped to weight them down but also gives your guests a little sweet treat.

You could use plain nuts, grapes or dried fruit. I also sprinkled in some popcorn on top of the little candy cups

Add some height to your charcuterie cups

The charcuterie cups look so fun and inviting when you have different heights and textures in the cups. I added tall skinny bread sticks to one side. A taller ruffled edge cracker at the back and a few other crackers in the middle.

For another sweet addition and a fun shape I added a macaroon cookie on a skewer with a bead at the top. I bought the pretty cookies from Trader Joes in the freezer section.

Most of them worked out great but for some reason the vanilla ones slipped down on the skewer more than the others.

Another option could be a donut hole or even an oreo.

Dangling fruit

On the outside of the cups I have grapes dangling. I cut up the grapes into small clusters of about 5.

I tucked in a couple of the grapes and then let a few of them hang out on the outside of the cup. They look so cute!

We served food inside on my sisters big table. Tiffany had an assortment of cake stands and platters and we placed the charcuterie cups on them.

I really liked having them on different heights. We also served fresh berries in a bowl. A watermelon corn salad and a yummy orzo pasta salad completed the simple meal.

Baby Shower Decor in the backyard

Tiffany created an adorable Boho themed shower for Elli. Using rugs, pillows and puffs on the grass made for lounging and comfort. We used two white canopies to block the sun because it got quite warm. Inside one of the canopies we put two long tables and 12 chairs for guest to sit and eat at.

I have recently been learning how to make cute charcuterie cups for my niece's baby shower. We celebrated the beautiful mom to be on Saturday in my sisters backyard. It was such a fun and pretty baby shower with lots of friends and family in attendance.

Tiffany had a few other smaller tables and chairs and we put around the yard for more seating options.

Recently Tiffany had our husbands, son and son in laws build a pergola and it was the perfect backdrop for the baby shower.

Tiffany had made the cute doily garland for a Relief Society event at church and she was able to use it for the shower. Simply tapping it up on the pergola added a feminine touch. Plus we also used my peach colored fluffy coffee filter garland that my friend make years ago for my daughters bridal shower.

Everyone had a wonderful time celebrating the mom to be. Elli is going to make such a sweet mom and we can’t wait to meet this precious baby girl!

It just depends on how many cups you are making and how many pieces of salami you want in each cup. We used 3 slices per cup.

Happy heavenly Mother’s Day to my mom! How we al Happy heavenly Mother’s Day to my mom! How we all loved her! I miss her funny sense of humor, her fierce love of others, her cooking and desires to always please everyone. Mom had strength beyond my comprehension she was always gardening… moving heavy pots, digging in hard soil and creating an oasis everywhere she lived. Her love of all things French was something to admired. Everyone who ever walked into her home could immediately feel loved and cared for. Mom worked tirelessly in her chocolate company right up until just a few months before she died. Her sacrifices for us were uncountable. I love my mom and all she was and did and especially her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Here’s to all the moms past present and future and to all the sacrifices, teachings and loving us even when we drive them crazy.
