BLACK AND WHITE KITCHEN RE-DO

Check out my black and white kitchen re-do! This is my kitchen before I painted it….. The cupboards were a medium oak color and some of the cupboards were already painted black.

It was very dark and dreary. Before kitchen brown and black

To lighten up the room ..I decided to paint all the Oak sections white as well as the kitchen island and it turned out fabulous!

I love it so much because now it is light and bright.

It is amazing what a little elbow grease and paint can do. This photo shows a different angle of the kitchen. I also sewed the kitchen valance.

Here is a turtorial for a faux roman shade that I wish I would have done.
If you enlarge this photo you will be able to see where I roughed up the edges of the black cupboards to make them look a little worn and more cottage like.

I hope you enjoyed this black and white kitchen re-do and I would love to hear your comments.

My daughter used chalkpaint to do a quick fix on her countertops and it turned out so pretty! The countertops now look like soapstone counters!
We would love to hear from any of you that have done this to your kitchen or another room in the house that was transformed with paint!

Your kitchen really looks great! Before this last kitchen makeover I had painted my cabinets white also, now they’re a cream color. I love the look of painted cabinets!

Thank you for you very kind comment on my blog and the well wishes!
