My sweet granddaughter just turned 5, and my daughter Emily created the most adorable puppy-themed birthday party to celebrate her big day. The theme was Let’s Raise the Woof! It’s Time to Pawty! and every little detail was absolutely precious.

If you know my daughter Emily, you know she always goes all out for birthdays, and this party was no exception. She started planning early, gathered ideas from Pinterest, and turned them into the cutest puppy party ever.
The Cutest Pet Store Party Entrance
Before the kids even entered the party, Emily created the most charming puppy “pet store” entrance that completely set the tone for the day. She painted a darling pet store scene onto drop cloth fabric and added a pink and white awning across the top.
Emily will selling these so let me know if you want to order one by leaving me a comment below.

She even sewed a pocket at the top so it could slide onto an expandable curtain rod. Then she cut open the door area and added ribbons so the children could walk right through it into the party.
It was such a clever idea, and the kids absolutely loved it. They kept playing in it throughout the party along with all the little puppies. It made the whole celebration feel extra magical.
The Sweetest Puppy Party Decorations
The decor was playful, colorful, and full of thoughtful touches. One of the best ideas was the little puppy sets Emily ordered for each child. Each set came with:

- 14 tiny puppies
- 14 cardboard dog houses to decorate
- Artificial grass
- A little fence
- Tiny puppy party hats

Honestly, this was genius because it worked as decor, a craft activity, and the party favor all in one. The kids were so excited to pick their favorite puppy and start decorating.

A Special Handmade Party Sign
Emily also painted the cutest sign to hang by the party table that said:
Let’s Raise the Woof! It’s Time to Pawty! Added some fun clear reusable bubble balloons and some pink, blue and yellow balloons to add a festive flair.

What made it even sweeter was that the dogs she painted were inspired by two beloved family dogs they had for many years—a golden lab and a St. Bernard who had recently passed away. It was such a heartfelt tribute and made the party feel even more special.

Adorable Puppy Balloons
Emily ordered five self-standing puppy balloons, and they were a huge hit with the kids. They were bright, cheerful, and added so much fun to the party setup.

The children loved choosing their favorite balloon puppy and playing around them during the party.

Fun Puppy Crafts for Kids
The puppy decorating station may have been the highlight of the party. Emily had all kinds of stickers from Amazon so the kids could decorate their little dog houses however they wanted.

Then she added another adorable craft idea—each child received:
- Pipe cleaners
- Beads

They used them to make custom dog collars for their puppies. The kids were in heaven.

Puppy Party Games
Of course, no 5-year-old birthday party is complete without games. Emily planned puppy-themed activities that kept everyone laughing and having fun.

They played:
- Pin the Tail on the Puppy
- Bean Bag Toss into Dog Bowls

Simple, playful, and perfect for little ones.
Bone Appetite Snack Bar
For food, Emily kept it fun and easy with “puppy snacks,” which included mini marshmallows and little cookies shaped like dog biscuits.

And for the cake, Georgia had one request—pink cake!

Emily baked and frosted the most gorgeous strawberry cake. She truly makes the most beautiful cakes, and this one was no exception. She topped it with little plastic dogs, which made it even more adorable.

Miss Georgia, the birthday girl, absolutely loved every minute of it.
