How to Make Easy Flower Napkin Rings for a Beautiful Tablescape

I love adding little handmade touches to my tablescapes, and these flower napkin rings are one of my very favorite ways to do that.

They are bold, beautiful, and surprisingly easy to make.

What I love most is that you can create them in any color or flower to match your tablescape. This time I made a bright lime green version, and they added the perfect pop of color to my spring table.

Why You’ll Love These Flower Napkin Rings

  • So easy to make (just a few supplies!)
  • Budget-friendly
  • Completely customizable
  • Adds a beautiful, elevated touch to your table

These are one of those simple DIYs that look like you spent way more time on them than you actually did 😊

Supplies You’ll Need

  • Flowers (faux)
  • Wire cutters
  • Green floral tape
  • Hot glue gun

That’s it!

If you choose a flower bunch with multiple blooms, you can make several napkin rings for very little cost.

How to Make Flower Napkin Rings

Step 1: Cut Your Flower Stem

Using wire cutters, cut one flower stem, leaving it long enough to bend into a circle. If the stem is really thick you will have to strip the thicker green part off using your wire cutters.

Step 2: Form the Ring

Gently bend the stem into a circle shape.

Wrap the end around itself to secure it.

Make sure to leave enough space in the center so a napkin can easily slide through.

Step 3: Wrap with Floral Tape

Using green floral tape, begin wrapping around the entire wire circle.

Slightly overlap the tape as you go to create a thicker, more finished look.

Step 4: Secure the End

Add a small dab of hot glue at the end of the tape to keep everything in place.

Step 5: You’re Done!

That’s it—so simple and so pretty!

So Many Ways to Use These

One of the best parts about these flower napkin rings is how versatile they are.

You can use them for:

  • Spring and summer dinner parties
  • Baby showers
  • Bridal showers
  • Outdoor entertaining
  • Holiday tablescapes

Just change the flower type or color to match your theme. I love using bright colorful flowers as napkin rings or just as a fun detail on a pretty cloth napkin. Here is a tutorial for making your own napkins here.

A Simple Way to Make Guests Feel Special

It’s little details like this that really make a table feel thoughtful and inviting.

When your guests sit down and see something handmade and unique, it instantly makes the whole experience feel a little more special.
