Patio Dreaming

I have been dreaming about patio ideas for my backyard. Last year we put in a flagstone patio and we tried to seal and cement the grout..but it didn’t work so well. The rain and snow deteriorated the grout and the rocks have shifted. So we are going to have to have some repair work done on it as well as enlarge the patio a bit. Plus the backyard faces south west and gets so hot during the summer you can’t even touch the door handle without it burning your hand so we need some shade and I am looking at ideas.
