Pirate Photo Booth with Pirate Banner Bunting

Pirate Photo Booth backdrop

I came up with a super quick and easy way to make a Pirate Photo Booth for our Cub Scout pack meeting last night…we had the rain gutter regatta with a Pirate theme…it was a blast!
I just love making photo booth backdrops!

Check out this blue and white striped one with a blue and white bunting that I made!

Supplies Needed
One red sheet- IKEA
A swath of black fabric- Had on hand
A strip of painters drop cloth- Lowes
Remnant of red and white striped fabric- Walmart
I started with the red sheet and it covered the chalkboard down to the floor then layered with black fabric, painters drop cloth and topped with red and white striped fabric..I had used this striped fabric for my Fourth of July outdoor decorations here
The large red polka dots were cut from red felt…they are leftovers from a Dr. Suess Baby Shower you might remember. I just pressed them onto the black fabric..no PINS, GLUE or TAPE!

Create Pirate bunting

The triangle bunting was made by cutting out triangles of fabric about 6″ – 7″ long and wide and Simply hot glueing them to hemp string. You see another bunting that I made for a blue and white graduation party here

I put a small string of hot glue across the top of each triangle fabric and then I pressed the string into the hot glue….I took me about 30 min from start to finish to make this! If I had more time I would have folded the tops down over the string on each flag to make it sturdier but it seemed to work perfectly!
Everyone got into the pirate theme…the pictures turned out so cute!

My friend Jill brought some of the props and I printed off the paper props from Little Forest Etsy Shop only $5.00 bucks which saved me a ton time! and…you print at home…they look so good in the pictures! There were beards mustaches, hats, signs and a parrot! Little Forest has tons of different themed printables you should check her out!

So much fun!

Here are a few pics from the rain gutter regatta…the boys used straws to blow their sail boats through th channel of water. They totally got into it!
