Thank You for Years of Creativity – My Final Linky Party (For Now)

Friends, today’s post feels a little bittersweet.

After hosting this linky party on and off since 2010, I’ve decided to take a step back and retire it—for now. I originally started this party on my old blog, The Style Sisters, and called it Centerpiece Wednesday. You can still see one of my very first posts right here!

It has been such a joy to host this party over the years. I’ve absolutely loved seeing your creative tablescapes, recipes, crafts, and decor pop up each week. So many of your ideas have inspired me and my readers—and I’m grateful beyond words for your support and creativity.

🧡 What’s Next?

While I won’t be hosting the weekly party for now, I’ll still be sharing beautiful ideas and highlights from past linky parties in my newsletter—because let’s be honest, the inspiration is timeless!

You’ll also find me posting more frequently over on Instagram @karinskottage and, of course, here on the blog.

🌟 Last Week’s Features

To close this chapter, I’m spotlighting four fabulous bloggers from last week’s party:

🖼️ Temporary Accent Wall DIY

My Wee Abode
If you’re in a rental or just love change, this temporary accent wall idea is perfect!

🥗 Fresh Farmers Market Salad

The Copper Table
A beautiful way to use summer’s bounty in a refreshing, healthy salad.

🏖️ Coastal Lantern DIY

An Organized Season
A simple pickle jar becomes a darling coastal lantern with beachy charm!

🍓 Raspberry Cream Cheese Pastries

Walking on Sunshine
Flaky, creamy, and just sweet enough—these are a must-try treat for any summer brunch.

🥂 Karins Kottage Happenings

This past week was a whirlwind! My daughter and I had the honor of catering a 60th wedding anniversary celebration for my friend’s parents.

We spent days prepping, baking, and cooking—making two types of chicken skewers, a pasta salad, quinoa salad, fruit platters, and the most beautiful sourdough bread (baked by a darling young woman!). And my daughter’s cupcakes were the star of the dessert table.

It was a ton of work, but such a rewarding experience—and that’s why this blog post is coming to you a little late this week!

💌 Thank You

From the bottom of my heart—thank you for being part of my weekly linky party community. Whether you’ve linked up once or every week, I’ve appreciated every visit, every comment, and every shared idea.

I hope you’ll continue to follow along with me here on the blog and on Instagram as I share more from Karins Kottage—more tablescapes, recipes, travel, fashion, and family!

Much love,
Karin 💛

      Hi Beth,
Thank you for all your love and support for my linky party. I wish I had more time to devote to it every week but right now I just can’t. I will still be posting as often as I can. Maybe after summer is over I can start my linky party again. I just felt like it wasn’t growing like I wanted it to…maybe I just need to recharge a bit. I always loved seeing your amazing craft projects.

      Hugs, Karin

Missy, That means so much to me that you loved my linky party. You always shared so many fabulous ideas! I just felt like it was not growing as much as I wanted it to. Maybe I just need a recharge and see how I feel after summer is over. I really do love blogging and hosting a linky party but posting it every week gets to be a lot. I will keep you posted if I decide to bring it back in the fall.

      Hugs, Karin

Will be sorry to see your linky party go, but do understand that all these things can become very time consuming, and have had to make some of those decisions myself as well. Hope you are doing well, and that whatever your next endeavor, it will be a blessing to you and yours.
