It’s time for another fabulous Karin’s Kottage Linky Party, and this week is brimming with festive holiday DIY ideas! I’m highlighting four amazing bloggers who have shared their creative Christmas ideas for cozy and festive spaces, as well as one clever DIY gift box project that is sure to inspire you.
It’s so much fun seeing how you all prepare your homes to celebrate Christmas. Whether you’re decking the halls in your kitchen, bedroom, or any other room, the goal is the same: creating inviting spaces that the whole family can enjoy. That’s exactly what I aim for in my own home, and I’m loving how my Anthro-inspired fireplace mantle turned out this year (see it here). And my Sugar Plum Fairy dining room still makes my heart sing (check it out here).
These spaces are filled with memories, family fun, and a whole lot of Christmas magic. Now, let me share the fabulous festive DIY holiday ideas from last week’s party that truly caught my eye:
1. Nostalgic Christmas Charm by My Thrift Store Addiction
Visit here I’m swooning over the nostalgic Christmas charm throughout her home. From the ornament Christmas tree above the fireplace mantle to the blue china cabinet topped with a Christmas village, her decor brings such a cozy, vintage feel. It’s absolutely enchanting!
2. Christmas in the Kitchen by A Day of Small Things
Visit here Her new kitchen and surrounding areas are decorated with a simple yet vintage vibe. I adore the skinny Christmas tree standing in front of a plate rack filled with pretty dishes and the clever touch of stockings hung on the kitchen cabinets. What a fun and unique idea!
3. Festive Bedroom Decor by A Life Unfolding
Visit here Turning a bedroom into a festive retreat is no small feat, and A life Unfolding did it beautifully with texture, lighting, and greenery. The garland hung above the window, paired with a small wreath, adds a charming boho vibe—simple yet oh-so-festive.
4. DIY Christmas Gift Box by Steph Creates Things DIY Home and Crafts
Visit here Steph turned a snack popcorn box into a stunning Christmas gift box using Mod Podge and a Christmas paper napkin. It’s such a creative and eco-friendly project, perfect for wrapping up special holiday gifts.
Karin’s Kottage Happenings
It’s been a busy and festive week at the Kottage! Yesterday, we celebrated my sister’s birthday, and I baked a show-stopping cake inspired by Better Homes and Gardens—it turned out just like the magazine cover! See it here.
I’ve also been making compound butters to give to neighbors. These are so easy to make and look beautiful wrapped in wax paper with a bow. This year, I’m making orange honey butter, herb butter, and cranberry orange butter. Get my recipes and free printable tags here.
Tonight, I’m off to the Nutcracker with my daughters, granddaughters, and sister. It’s a cherished tradition I started with my oldest granddaughter when she was just 3 years old. Now, at almost 16, it’s amazing to see how time flies. Traditions like these make the season so special.
Let’s Get the Party Started!
I can’t wait to see what you’ll share this week. Whether it’s decorating, recipes, or DIYs, your creativity always inspires me. Let’s make this week’s Linky Party one to remember!
