We had the pleasure of eating our Easter dinner out on the patio tonight…it was absolutely perfect!
The sun was shunning, the seagulls were flying overhead and it felt like we were right on the beach! The lake is very close by and attracts many seagulls and I love to hear their squawking caw sound.
I made these flower napkin rings and the tutorial is here
Family and friends gathering to together to eat
I marinated the chicken thighs in a honey lemon basil sauce.
Honey glazed carrots are a family favorite. Cook the carrot In some water in a pot until almost tender. To the same pan add honey, butter, salt and pepper. Cook until tender but not mushy.
Fresh asparagus grilled to perfection. Add a little olive oil, kosher salt and pepper and grill so easy but so tasty.
Best Chocolate cake ever!!
Emily is such a great baker and made this homemade chocolate cake that is sooo moist and delish!
Emily used Cadbury eggs to decorate the top of the cake
Everything was lovely!
Hope your Easter was just as lovely. Karin

What an amazing way to spend Easter! I would love to have an outdoor space like that.
Karin, it looks simply lovely and healthy too. We opted to go out for Easter brunch. No cooking here. Sadly not even an Easter tablescape this year.
